Academic Excellence is delivered at MTIS through comprehensive offerings that are supported by individually tailored programs, designed to develop and guide each pupil according to their individual needs.A variety of academic qualifications are offered at MTIS, leaving families with options. Secondary pupils end the grade 10 year by sitting the IGCSE Exams from the Cambridge Program to obtain their “mittlere Reife”. University prep pupils leave grade 12 year with both the High School Diploma and the Diploma from the International Baccalaureate.

  • Intensive language programs support pupils, equipping them with the skills needed to complete a diploma in the English language. For all English classes pupils are placed into three groups (advanced, regular, or intensive) to ensure pupils’ progress in small, homogenous groups of similar proficiency levels. The language of instruction in all other subject matters in the kindergarten and elementary school is English and German. The language of instruction is English for the entire secondary and university preparatory school.
  • Individually tailored academic programs meet the needs of pupils pursuing their passions who often have to travel and miss portions of the regular school day. Innovative scheduling, the use of technology, and extended availability of faculty make managing professional sports, arts, and entertainment careers a reality for talented youngsters.

Faculty members at MTIS meet state standards in their respective subject matters, have multiple years of teaching experience, are certified in their given academic programs, hold advanced degrees, and take part in professional development activities to remain at the pinnacle of their craft.
