++29/30 October, Friedrichsdorf++
Main Taunus International School hosts The Cambridge Secondary 1 – Introductory Training in the subjects of English, Mathematics, and Science.
22 teachers from all corners of Europe attended this professional development forum, provided by the world-renowned Cambridge Curriculum. Six faculty members from MTIS were also in attendance receiving professional development and valuable insight into working with the Secondary 1 Curriculum.
MTIS’s in-house caterer Quattro provided top notch food, drinks, and service during lunch and morning breaks where the participants from different schools were able to network, share ideas, and learning materials. On Saturday night, after the conclusion of productive seminars, the participants were given a guided tour of downtown Friedrichsdorf from Mrs. Halfmann.
Since recently being named an official Cambridge Training Center, we are excited about offering Events and Forums of this type in the future at MTIS. This will improve quality of instruction at our school which will directly benefit the students. The next Cambridge Event is already planned for March and we are excited about it.
It was exciting and inspiring for me to see how delegates from all over Europe shared their thoughts and experiences to improve their teaching approach concerning the Secondary 1 Curriculum. As Cambridge coordinator as well as a delegate for science I´m looking forward to many more of these trainings to come.” – Cambridge Coordinator MTIS – Thomas Richter
